Optimize Your Training with Training Effect – Data Thursday

Training Effect (TE) is a data often get ignored by many runners.

It basically measures the effect of your workout on your aerobic fitness.

For example the 1st pic shows that the TE is 3.3 which means this workout improves my aerobic capacity.

On the other hand if I’m doing cross training I’d want to keep the TE below 3, and below 2.5 if I’m doing recovery run.

It’s an great metric to help you monitor if you achieve the goal of your today’s workout.

Note: You’ll need to set your Activity Class and User Setting to get accurate TE.
